Jeroen Meersma advises Dutch and foreign companies and employees on employment law issues. Experience
Jeroen Meersma started as a lawyer in 1998. In addition to advising on a wide range of employment issues, he is specialised in performance improvement, sickness procedures, transgressive behaviour, and related business processes. Jeroen is fluent in English and Dutch and also speaks German.
Since 2003, Jeroen has also held various management and board positions in the corporate world as director of a pension fund and publisher of news brands. With a background in both law and business, Jeroen understands the impact of change and conflict on working life and is there to help. He combines his legal and managerial knowledge with his creativity to achieve the desired result, balancing human, and business interests with the legal possibilities, particularly when situations are uncomfortable, and conversations are challenging.
Jeroen is a member of the Dutch Bar. Next to being a lawyer, Jeroen is also mediator and Registered Confidential (Integrity) Advisor and as such a member of the National Association of Confidential Advisers (Landelijke Vereniging van Vertrouwenspersonen) and the Association for Labour Law (Vereniging voor Arbeidsrecht) and works as a volunteer for a neighbourhood mediation organization.

Jeroen has been a director of Mediahuis’ company pension fund for many years.
Registration
Jeroen has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister): employment law.
Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
